“On behalf of Saanich Marine Rescue Society, I would like to thank Enviro Float Manufacturing Inc. for its very generous donation of $500.00 as credited towards the Enviro Float Manufacturing Inc. invoice for new floatation and decking for our boathouse facility.
In 2011, the 28 plus volunteer members of the Saanich Marine Rescue Society (Coast Guard Auxiliary - Unit 36, Sidney), responded to over 38 emergency calls around the Saanich Peninsula and Gulf Islands. We saved 6 lives, assisted 26 people and protected over $860,000 in assets. We have been providing this service since 1979.
The Saanich Marine Rescue Society is a non-profit organization with our volunteers on-call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, providing support to Canadian Coast Guard, RCMP, BC Ambulance Service, North Saanich & Sidney Fire Departments and the Peninsula Emergency Measures Organization. We also assist with various community events and offer Pleasure Craft Courtesy Checks at the local marinas and yacht clubs. The financial support of Enviro Float Manufacturing Inc. will assist our dedicated and skilled crews to continue these essential services within our community.
